Does photoshop 7.0 have an undo tool for the toolbar. I hate using Edit/Undo, or using a keystroke shortcut, I'm used to programs having that little arrow on the toolbar that lets me go back repeatedly.

Surely others complain about this as well. Sorry, guys, I'm a newbie, but learning fast. Brow

I dont think there is an icon... but if you want to do multiple undo's: Alt+Ctrl+Z or Edit>>Step Backwards
you can do that as much as you want.

You can sort of cheat and make your own icon. If you make an action with one step (alt+ctrl+z) then you could just hit play on that action. That's the best solution i can come up with. Post back if you need help with the action, they're really easy.

I see your point evansville but this rates as one of the funniest threads I have read in a while. I agree as a user of other applications (web browsers et al) it seems logical, just that when you become familiar with PS you will come to depend on shortcuts and rarely use the mouse to navigate the programs controls (sometimes you won't want to move your mouse off the canvas).

There is no better advice than to get a list of the shortcut keys and get used to them, it's no accident that the system navigation was designed that way, it's all about efficiency and ergonomics of working.

I completely agree thehermit. I think the shortcut interface adds a very useful dynamic to the design experience. You know Adobe has that in mind too, especially with the new feature in CS of being able to customize your shortcut keys.

Most of the stuff that Microsoft puts out. Word, PowerPoint, FrontPage... I think a lot of HTML/CSS/PHP editors have them as well...

I believe that Paintshop had some form of that. At least the trial version I had for a while did.
