I'm having a problem with levels. I'm trying to make a simple starry background using a black background then filter>addnoise then levels to give the desired amount of stars. I move the sliders until I get the look I want in the preview then click OK. After clicking OK the preview changes and the result is nothing like the preview, in fact I'm not sure it had done anything to the original at all. Ive also tried using contrast/brightness but it gives me the same thing. I had this problem a while ago and solved it, yet I forgot what I did.

Thanks

Hey there,
It's possibly a viewing issue. When you add the noise, make sure you're viewing the document at 100%.
Hope that helps
