I'm a real estate agent and i take alot of exterior photos of properties. I need to merge the blue sky of an under exposed photo with the correctly exposed photo of the property. Depending on when the photo is taken the correctly exposed photo generally has a washed out or even white sky. What tool is the best to apply the transition with the under exposed layer?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

regards

joe

I do this all the time, it's really easy in Photoshop. Start off with the house, double click it on the layers palette (this turn it into a proper layer) then using the magic wand select the sky and hit delete, then open your sky pic (keeping the house image open as well) select the move tool left click and hold it while you drag the sky onto the house pic, it will cover the house don't worry, go to the layers palette, left click on the sky layer and drag it below the background layer. Use the move tool to tidy up and drag the sky into the right place etc. Wayne
