Well by "repaint" I mean what f!ss!on said; take the paintbrush tool, lower the opacity, and paint a shade of a colour over my object.

But how do I just select the one layer for the paint? Everytim ...

Hey hey,

I want to eyedrop a certain colour from the background and then somehow use it to "repaint" a layer. How would I do that?

You're right, that is what I could do, and what I have done.

But what I'm thinking is, a more "realistic" way might be to isolate this person's face and..umm..meld the pandas face over it. In other ...
