i set my background colour i click (brushtool) choose my brush in top left corner and its not working or dooing anything when i click. am i missing a step or something? please help

By not working do you mean it doesn't apply color? What are the mode, opacity and flow set to?

ya, no colour or nothing. opacity and flow are at 100%

It should be the foreground color.

i click for the backgroung colour and set it to black. then click on the brush choose my brush. set the colour of the brush to white and nothing shows up.
