				Hi everyone,

Is there a simple way to add text created in Word to a photograph?

I'd like to create a poster that has an inspirational message over the picture.

I'd also like to be able to remove the text without disturbing the photo.

Thanks in advance! |

				hi,

1. hilight and copy your text....

2. go into your ps and open your picture.... also make a dup layer

3. then go to image>canvas

a. you'll see 9 squares with arrows... depending where you want to place the text, you'll click one of the arrow for example if you click the top middle arrow you'll end up a empty place below the picture

4. put in how big you want the canvas to be either horz or verticle..

5. then, click your text button and make your text box.. and since you already have copy your text to the clipboard all you do now is just paste...

that it at this point it all a matter of choosing the font and color , you may need to do adj to the size of the text box maybe enlarge the canvas... all depends on how much text you have. |

				Thanks so much, Jerry.

I'm curious...do you know if it can be done the same way in

Photoshop Elements...or any other graphics program?

Thanks! |

				hi,

most good image editor programs will allow you to do it....

on those one that done... what one can do... is copy

the image and put in on the clipboard and then

open a new file but give it much larger size....

and then paste the image into the file and resize and position...

graphic viewer program in general such as irfanview or picasa (freeware)....

will only allow you to place text on top of the image...

althoughmine, gwspro (shareware).... automtically will creates a space below the image

for text... but limited to 128 characters.. |
