Broken glass from a gun shot FX

Hi im new here nice site btw, i have a lil question i would like to make an FX on my site and i would like to creak a broken glass layer with a hole from a gun shot in it transparent so i can have my original image in the background.

Can anybody help me on this and tell me some tips or show me a example

i think in the pic, 50 cent just stood in front of a broken glass though!
