Photoshop pros-

My Down Syndrome Aunt passed away on Monday and we are in the process of trying to put the obituary together. The photo we'd like to use for the obituary has apparently spent too much time in direct sunlight and has a "whiteout" effect to it now.

I'm wondering if anyone could work their magic and perhaps give us a usable black and white version of this pic (if possible).

Here's the photo for download on box.net

Thanks in advance!

I will be happy to work on this photo for you.

I'll get right to work on it.

I'm sorry it's still a bit grainy, if you would like me to work on it some more, I can.

Hope you like it.

That looks a ton better! This will work just fine for the obituary. If it isn't a big hassle for you and you'd like to work with it some more, I'd love to be able to "replace" the ruined original for my mom.

How did you do this? I've been working on it, but haven't got close to getting that much detail back into the photo.

Thank you so much! My the Lord bless you for your kindness.

It's no problem, I can try to work it some more.

I've spent many hours of my free time over the past few years watching every video tutorial and reading every Photoshop article on photo-restoration. I love doing this kind of work. And every photo I work with is a new learning experience.

Kid, I have to say, that the work you've done on this is just AWESOME!

It is so good to see this kind of work done by others.
