Hey new to the boards here, so if this is out of place, apologies.
I'm trying to edit some scans of some drawings in Photoshop CS3, but I can't edit much. I think it might be a 16 bit TIFF, but I can't change to 8 bit. The option is completely grayed out, along with many others. Any ideas on what I need to do? |

If RGB Color is also greyed out, let me know what isn't. |

It's grayed out. Everything but Grayscale was. I went ahead and tried that (even though I was worried about losing information) because it's a black and white drawing of graphite on Mylar.
Once I chose grayscale it all seemed to work. I think.
Thanks! |
