I am looking for some help in creating some black and white photos with either the chocolate or platinum tints that are currently quite popular. Hope you know what I mean, not sepia btw.

thanks

Welcome to the forums deedee. Try looking up 'split toning' think that's what you are looking for. Although posting a link or a sample would help.
