I'm trying to make a header for a Shadows Music site.

I have two photographs of the band blended together and I'd now like to tint (hope that's the right terminology) the photographs an orange or a red colour.

I can do this by going to the Color Balance in Adjustments, I just wondered if this was the correct way of doing it. I could also add a new layer filled with the colour at reduced opacity?

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Cheers
Barry

If you are using CS4 the best way to do this is applying a new adjustment layer to your already blended photo. Layer > New Adjustment Layer.

That way you keep the original photo and can change the settings of the mask layer.

Look into the new MASKS menu, which now allows you to change the 'density' and add a vector mask to your adjustment mask, feather the edge, etc.

Any method that gives you the desired result is the correct method.

You can also set this color layer to "color".
