Approx. what do you normally charge for designing a poster say size 8.5 x 11.5? Just the design no printing.

Depends on the hourly rate and the time taken. Not a huge help I realise, but it really does depend.
Working on an hourly rate of 35 pounds per hour, times your hours, plus any copyright transactions, = ?
There are other factors to consider, such as, is it a one off production?, clients budget (best to sort out before project commencement) etc...
To say it's a big ask to pin down a price is understating the problem. What's your experience? How much do you need to earn? There are lots of variables.

I guess I wasn't sure if I should do hourly or flat rate as it seems that most people want an estimate. |
