Hey! I'm attempting to create a 10ft x 20 ft billboard. The company that i'm having print it says i can make the file at 25% of the original size at 300dpi. So that take my file to 30inches x 60inches and 300dpi... with out even starting to create multiple layers my file is already at 450mg... is there any way i can create this monster without having the file size be half a gig... it makes it so photoshop runs SO SLOW and im using a brand new Mac book pro... HELP!!! |

The file won't be that large once it's saved. Try it and check the saved size. More likely around 10-12 MB. |

Make sure your settings are correct. When we design for banners and billboards we always design in 1/4 scale at 300dpi and rarely have a file over 20megs. You saying that the file is bogging down a new mac seems to us that you have your resolution improperly set.
Hope this helps! _________________ Need Help or Have Questions? You Can Contact Us 24 hours a Day by visiting www.EliteFlyers.com and engaging in live chat. |
