I recently took around 30 shots in a "studio" setting where the lighting was consistent from shot to shot. In the first shot I had someone hold a 18% gray card.

What I'd like to be able to do in CS4 is to "sample" the gray card in the first shot, save that "white balance" setting and then apply that setting to the remaining shots as I open them in CS4.

thanks in advance for any help!

I think a curves adjustment layer would give you what you want. Use the grey eyedropper and then save the settings as a preset.
Use that preset for the other images.
