CS4 stops working.

CS4 will just stop working.

For example if I use the paint bucket tool i will click and nothing happens,make layers visible and invisible,nothing happens.nothing at all.

sometimes its when i just open cs4 sometimes after. like a really bad lag that dosent catchup.

anyone else have this problem?

laptop compaq c765 1.99ghz

ps: its cs4 portable

Cs3 is better i have no problems

downoload Cs3 because also with Cs5 many people have problems

It sounds like you are having RAM issues. I would trash the PS preference file and all the regular troubleshooting stuff too, drivers etc...
