Do Photoshop brushes work across different versions of the program? I'd love to get my paws on the grass brush that PS7 has (I have 5.5 now). Anyone know?

you onw I have no idea, only ever having had 7? can you make custom brushes the same way in 5.5 as you can in 7?

( I have to admit that grass brush is a prime fave with me)

I don't think so.

But then again, I use both 5.5 and 7.0 because somethings work better in 5.5 then in 7.0.

then all i can suggest is to try it and see, use the grass brush to make a single blade, save it and open it in 5 as a shape maybe?

I was downloading some brushes and stuff the other day, and some were made with 7.0 and were not compatible with 6.0, which is what I have. I got some really cool brushes that gave an error reading when I tried to use them.

If I'm not mistaken, brushes made with functions that aren't available in the previous version will not work for you. In other words, only some brushes will not work, depending on how they were made. I found this out the hard way.
