Hi,
I want to edit text of jpeg image using photoshop 7.0 .but don't have any idea how to do it.Any help will be appreciated.

Clone tool. Duplicate your base layer and then set to work with the clone tool, use a fairly hard brush (still with a feathered edge) and set to work removing the text - about 60-70% opacity to start with, refine as needed.

Yeah, clone it out and find what font was used in the jpeg, and just make a new type layer. If it's a complex background and you aren't too good with the clone tool, do as good as you can and just put the new text layer where the old one was so the visibility of the imperfections is minimalized.
