Mom passed away 2 weeks ago and I have a photo that I would like to fix. I have been looking all over and tried to play with levels and curves and contrast but I don't have the expertise with photoshop to fix
I have attached a small version.
If someone could help would appreciate it.

Scotty

I have included a low resolution sample, but if you want, PM your email and I will send the larger file. If you want I can send the PSD too, for future further editing if wanted.

I did a basic colour adjust and then removed the ISO grain as much as the photograph allowed. Set about with the artefact removal and then boosted other colours and selectively sharpened.

I steered clear of over retouching the image and for the most part apart from a slight boost of blues and a lightening of the skin tones, I tried to keep it faithful to the original.

ps: also changed the blown out highlights to a value that was lower than 255
