I like the built up textured look you have achieved. I think the font on the second piece is awful though. It's a comdedy font, I see where you were going, as it looks like wood, but a more creepy/grungy font would be more fitting.

Oh and welcome to the forum Grandpa. :)

Looks good.. both of them. Only the first is a bit empty.. i don't see a focal point in there. And for the second one, i agree with thehermit.

But the feel of both is good and i like the choise of colors you used. It all fits with the style.

And welcome.. :)

This is fluid-like in my eyes. I think a font with scratches and folds in it would suit this image better. The fluid-like font is better for bloody image or images with water and stuff.. Just my opinion though.. :)

i like them both...but i agree with witam about the font

if you would get more of a grungy, torn look i think it would add to the effect otherwise i love the background great job

I think the positioning of the title is ruining the image a bit. You have a great forest scene there in the background, but you can't see it because the title is in the way. It might look cool if you put like a cursive font or a more torn font like skeik09 suggested. If I were you I would put the title in the red bar near the bottom in between the two filmstips looking-like bars. I would make it subtle but noticeable. It shouldn't be the focal point of your design. The mystery of the forest is what you're trying to sell people on. Let them choose their own path through the woods as they gaze into them.

Wow I feel like a goof. On the other hand it could end up looking like a total mess. Wouldn't be the first time I opened my mouth and ruined somebody's stuff.

Anyway, do what you feel Big Grin
