Just thought i would ask this question because i've been wondering it for a looooong time and i have a logo i'm working on now that would help big time. How do you get an outer stroke with hard edges instead of the rounded ones. Inner stroke does it but inner isnt what i'm looking for. PLEASE HELP. Thanks so much

If your doing it in photoshop then you have to keep it on the inside like you have already for sharp edges. To bring it out to the 'outside' of the logo you need a bigger shape of which it will still be on the inside of.

Example would be..

1. Ctrl + Left Click Layer thumbnail
2. Select > Modify > Expand
3. Expand by stroke width
4. Create new layer
5. Edit > Fill
6. Fill expanded selection with white
7. Add layer FX stroke
8. Move layer to appropriate level

If you enjoy the type of work your doing then i would suggest looking at Adobe Illustrator as it is more suited to this type of job.
