Hello.
I'm quite new to using photoshop so this question may be extremely basic.
I have a number of close up photos of coins.
I would like to know of the quickest and easiest way to trim or crop the background image outside the edge of the coin. Can you crop an image in a circular pattern to achieve this? Like I said, I am extremely new to this as you may be able to tell from my question.
Thanks

hi,
the short answere is yes....

there several ways that you can select object so you can eleiminate the background....

some ways work better than others and depends on the image itself...
ideally youlike to have contrast betweein the object and rest of the image..

once selected you can then replace the backgroun or have object on a transparent background ..

if you upload one of your images... we can give you our opinion what would be the best way... in the meantime...

this link shows just a few different ways to select a object...

this address a couple of more ways ... one f the ways is the extracting tool however don't if your ps ver has it..

a couple other ways... using the quick select tool along with the refine edge... or use channel masking techniques..
