help needed to make a person look thinner

Hi,
I have a picture of a girl which needs to be modified to look thinner! Is this possible in photoshop?I can send you the picture. pl help. Thank you

The simplest way is reducing image width w/o altering height (ie. distortion). Just open "Image Size" dialog and uncheck "Constrain Proportions" option.

For local corrections (eg, waist shaping), try "Liquify" filter.

I did try the image size option but the sifference is not much! can you plz tell how i can use the liquify option?!
