Ok im not exactly a beginner at photoshop but I'm new at trying to make a website in photoshop.. here is my issue.. I keep seeing tons of fantastic sites that people have created in photoshop and would love to make my own.. the issue that I see is that they make text, scroll bars and other items in the site with photoshop but I don't understand how you would utilize these thing on the web..

It is called CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets,

what you do is create the design in photoshop, and then some how use CSS inside Dreamweaver or other css editing software, if you are good enough you cold just use a text editor.

Good luck, as I have no more advice for you having never done this before.

salvadore is correct you need to know at least some HTML and CSS in order to accomplish what you want. I'm the opposite, I'm now learning/getting used to photoshop so my sites can look nicer Big Grin

You can also use a service that chops up your PSDs into XHTML. There are a few out there. Since I typically use a managed service, I just pay CMS provider to do it for me (My Managed CMS). There are other options out there too if you look around. Learning HTML/CSS is not an easy task.[/url]
