I noticed when you hover over the "show desktop" feature in W7 you get his nice glossy effect that I really love. It can't make your wallpaper really pop and shine especially with a nice monitor which I am lucky to have. Can anyone guide me on how to re-create this effect for my own projects? I have an idea as to how I could re-create it. Do some brushing with a white brush, reduce opacity, etc. But I'm afraid of how the outcome would turn out. Any help is much appreciated.

Using the plastic wrap filter can produce results similar to the effect you are after. |
