how do i turn off "must save as a copy"?

I'm using Photoshop CS 2 and I'd like to turn off the "must save as a copy with this selection" feature. I'm editing PNGs and am saving them (overwriting) to the same folder so it's forcing me to append " copy.png" to every one I save. It'd save me a lot of time if it'd stop doing that.

try looking in your
file handling options (preferences) set it to your needs not sure about CS2 though

Thanks for the reply. I did look there, it has nothing about 'saving as copy'. I guess it's not possible to turn off in CS2. Thanks anyway.
