Good Day to All.
I'm new in here, and I like to ask you for help.
On photo attached I have wooden sculpture.
I like to transform this sculpture to painted sculpture.
In particular I like to use white paint.
The problem is that I do not know how to keep it realistic, with shadows, textures, shape etc.
Just imagine - you are in front of this statue, with white spray can.
You spray all over the wood, and next take a picture.
How to do that?

Hi Amanda, something else you could try. Select out the sculpture and make a copy to a new layer. Now convert that layer to black and white and play around with the brightness and contrast settings. Pushing Brightness way up and contrast way down should get you close. You can get even closer using other tools like the Levels tool.

Haha! Hermit I think he's asking for a sponge so here goes:
1/ Cut out the statue and put on a new layer stir in the eggs.
2/ Go to Image/Hue Saturation reduce saturation and adjust Lightness, bake for 30 mins gas mark 3.
3/ Lastly go to Image/Brightness Contrast and add a little contrast, sprinkle with icing sugar, Done...
