My friend owns a Airplane company and he asked if I could do a logo because he is rebranding his company. I on the logo I want to get an effect like this behind the airplane but I have no idea how I should go about making this. Does anybody have any ideas on how? (disregard the "ccuracy" in there) I was thinking about cutting out the image of it but that would turn out pretty bad around the edges and it needs to look really good.

Thanks in advance :)

You could edit this one its free.

To replicate the small image you have, it would need to be traced over to create outlines that would be enlarged and then worked on from there.
This would require knowledge of how to use the pen tool and possibly working with vector shapes.

Anymore questions just ask and if you get stuck you can always find some assistance here.
