Hey everyone, I'm new here and I had a question about how to achieve a certain effect in pictures. I know its impossible to figure out exactly how a picture was manipulated in photoshop, and that there are many different ways to achieve the same effect; but does anyone know how I can come close to an effect like this? I don't have the before and afters but I do have some pictures from the same shoot and some are edited and some are not edited as much....

Edited Pictures:

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi PF268

I'm a bit confused with what effects you are looking for...do you want to removie his head or are you just interested in achieving the colours?

lol no not the head, I just wanna get the overall colors and I think the finished pics look almost diffused or something, but that could just be the colors.

Learn the fundamentals of Photoshop such as cloning, healing and masking. That would be a good start.

I'm unable to test right now, but i'm pretty sure this will get you pretty close.

Make a curves adjustment layer, then in the pull-down menu go to the blue channel and drag the bottom left anchor point about 1/3 or so of the way up. Pull the far right anchor point down about 1/8(?) or so. Lastly, go back to the RGB channel and pull the top right anchor point maybe 1/4 of the way down or so, and then you can make a new point in the center of the line to adjust (probably downwards) as needed.

Hope this helps!
