Nice one YOS. Hawkeye came out with the answer and you refined for the client.

Have to ask though, why the pen in the logo jttheclockman? (if you know)

I wondered that too, but while I was out looking for images, I discovered some other forum posts by one jttheclockman...who happens to be quite skilled at creating some beautiful pens. I have a friend and ex coworker who also turned wooden pens as a hobby...you would not believe how creative and in depth this hobby gets. They use exotic woods, metals, plastics, antlers, bone, you name it.

JT...I'll email you and send you the PSD file. Its about 9.5 Megs in size. I havent really put together any other color combinations, but now that the psd file has been created, you can experiment to your hearts desire. I'll have to explain to you some of the details about how I put it together so you can work around it freely.

It should work fine for stationary or business cards as well, as it should look good resized to smaller dimensions. As far as blowing it up for something very large, I'm not too sure how it would look. I guess you'll have to try it! Also, would you have a problem with me putting a small copy of it up on my portfolio website?

Nice research YOS (if I may be so bold and doesn't offend). I love artisans, some of the work coming out of the blue can be the sweetest (youth grammar;) produced. I love the quirky!

OK looks what happening Blush Blush Blush

Thank you for the kind words. Yes I have added pens to my line and I am in the process of finally getting a web site together. I do turn pens and other things. I scrollsaw alot of clocks as well as make other wooden things so I was trying to capture all this in the logo. I only wish I could use the program Photoshop because I am sure it would be a great tool in designing as well as advertising. I hope to at some time in the future be able to sit down and study some tutorial lessons. I am sure you people here have spent many hours honing your use of this tool and you have gotten pretty good at it and here is proof. But till that time I have to come to the experts and ask for some help and you guys did not let me down. I can see the people here are truely helpful and willing to share. Again thanks for the help.

PS: I forgot to add, I have no problem with you using it for your portfolio website.

After I saw your pen work, I thought it was really creative how you put your logo together, originally. Kudos for that!

Hermit, no offense taken at all! I accept all short forms of my unusual online name, haha.

John, I sent you an email. There's a zip file that contains the PSD file for the logo as well as a 2 page word doc that explains a lot of the things you'll see in the PSD file and how to work with them. You are now the copyright owner, and that information is embedded in the logo (its not visible physically on the logo).

Allowing me to put your logo on my website helps me add to my portfolio; something I desperately need right now. Thank you!
