i think it looks really good, navigation looks good however i think that the "link" should be a bigger font size. (when filled with content the nav will probably blend in to much)
Banner could make it or break it also for the website heh, Needs to be a big font to keep up with the other big fonts of the main categories.
Also the main content area has a bottom to it, it might want to be just continous with no bottom to match with the right column
