What is the most used keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop?
The ones I seem to use the most is...
Command/Alt-C "Copy"
Command/Alt-X "Cut"
Command/Alt-V "Paste"
Command/Control-Z "Undo"
+ & - "Zoom In/Out, increase/decrease size of working image or layer"
What other shortcuts am I missing out on using, and is most commonly used in Photoshop?
(Thanks, for the tip on my mistake, I fixed it on this post.
On Mac Command-Z & on Windows Control-Z "for the Undo shortcut") _________________ Once you're at the top, keep climbing!

I often have to undo MORE THAN ONE to fix my mistakes:
<ALT> ctrl+z
(Oh, not sure on a Mac)...
One more useful one:
While you're making a selection, you can use the <SPACE> key to move your selection around and adjust it better. |

Yes, I agree that Mac/Window Command-Z/Control-Z "Undo" is a more popular shortcut, especially when working in Illustrator, but "I think" Photoshop only allows a few times for one to "Undo" or even to "Step Backwards" shortcut = Mac/Window Command-Option-Z/Control-Alt-Z
Yet, I use the History palette/panel much more on Photoshop than "Undo" when it is needed.
Another Question
What about single letter shortcuts "the same on both Mac/PC"? Which ones is used the most by most Photoshop users?
Such as...
B= Brush tool
X= Swaps Foreground/Background colors
P= Pen tool
D= Sets colors to default
A= Switch to Direct Selection tool
C= Switch to Crop tool
V= Switch to Move tool
L= Switch to Lasso tool
Q= Enter/Exit Quick Mask mode _________________ Once you're at the top, keep climbing! |

Please remind me & this forum what this shortcut's function is again?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does anyone use or know the hyphens keyboard shortcuts over letters, or which hyphens is most used?
These hyphens are used more in written foreign language, such as Spanish?
Also, try to Please post any shortcuts for both types of computers Mac & Mic/PC.
Thank you! _________________ Once you're at the top, keep climbing! |
Ha, just testing. That shortcut combines all layers in a project and puts it on a new layer without destroying the layers that it was created from.
As for Mac keys, the Command key is the same as the Ctrl key on Win. _________________ twitter @4DragonsMedia |
Thank you for clearing that up, and that is a great keyboard shortcut to mention, "combines all layers in a project, putting on a new layer".
Anymore is very welcomed OR just post Photoshop's most used here?
P.S. Wanted to mention I do know the Command key is the Ctrl key on Windows, I was just trying to help others reading this forum that might not know?
* As far as the hyphens keyboard shortcuts goes, I am having trouble with them on my Mac, they don't always work without leaving unwanted spaces. Any ideas?
If someone types the Spanish or different language a lot, they might know? _________________ Once you're at the top, keep climbing! |
