Hey all, I'm new to the forums and fairly new to Photoshop. I've been using it for a couple of weeks in a class I'm taking. I thought the class was an introduction to photoshop that would focus on teaching us how to use the application but it's not so I'm doing a lot of learning on my own. I'm doing this mostly by finding solid tutorials to walk through.

Currently I'm using this tutorial:

http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/text-effects/tron-grid.html

For the most part I'm finding it helpful and easy to understand. The problem is I got to this point and got stuck:

http://photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/text-effects/tron-grid/page-4.html

I'm able to shape the flare reflection properly, however I apply the Guassian blur and move it up, I can still see the black border. The reflection doesn't meld seemlessly into the flare point like in his example.

I tried blurring before and after the move but neither seems to help. any ideas?

I'm currently using photoshop in CS4.

Thanks!
