Hey all

I've got this old design that I did a while back for the client, but they started having lots of internal problems in the first couple of weeks so I never got to take this site to completion. Nobody has ever really seen this thing (or likewise, critiqued it), and I remember being pretty happy with the design (this was about, oh, 8-9 months ago). There's a few things I'd do differently with the HTML/JS/CSS now, but the design I still like. What do you think?

Ok, there's broken links and such abound in there, it's just a framework I barely started making. Haven't touched it since. Here's one content page that works.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Of course, that makes me all the more upset that this job fell through. Not only did I miss out on having a great site to add to my resume, but that was a $35/hr job!

That's why you get half up front (or a good part of it), half when the site is complete. ;) Even if they back out or no longer want it, you still make something.

Hey now. You guys are misunderstanding. I was hired full-time. I got paid for the work I did. Two weeks worth. I was paid weekly, even. It's just that they started having some legal troubles with employees and some crap, some sort of internal coup or something. The project was canned.

For freelance gigs, I ALWAYS collect half up-front.

Ah I gotcha. Your last post made it sound like you just missed the boat altogether. :)
