When I process a photo in Photoshop Elements 12, I use sRGB and Save for Web. I follow recommended processing steps, mindful of the order in which they should be applied.

When I upload to my server and view in Firefox, Chrome, or IE, the image has more contrast and is overall darker resulting in loss of shadow detail.

Also, any sharpening I've applied appears overdone in the browsers.

Could anyone point me to an online resource that recommends how to best compensate for this issue?

Related question: Should I dump PSE 12 and spring for Photoshop CC?

Thank you!
