If you're lucky enough to have a graphic tablet, try this tip!

Select the pencil tool, with black as your foreground colour (hit D for the shortcut). Now pick an oval tip shape and draw away. It will give you calligraphy style writing. It should work with any color, by the way. Now if only I had nice handwriting...
