im about to buy a photoshop book.....i searched and found these tow books so what do u think...which one is better
1.Photoshop CS4 Channels & Masks One-on-On

2.The Adobe Photoshop CS4 Layers Book

or if u know a book better than both....plz ur advices ^^

i want to learn more about layers,masks,channels and understand more about the photoshop color system :)

Which is better depends on what you are trying to learn, they are on different subjects and both would assume you are an experienced PS user already.

If you don't have a good foundation in PS, I suggest before you buy anything, go to the library. Get book on PS, any version will teach you the basics. Then you'll be in a better position to know what you want go into next.

I would suggest trawling the internet for tutorials and resources and when more confident in Photoshop or more aware of your final need for the program, then invest in a book.

i have experience in photoshop but in the layers blends and cahnnels i use them without good understanding

learning from random tutorials is not a good thing...i wish i can find a series of videos can learn me that :)
