The additions of the chars in to the picture looks sketchy... Perhaps you could try casting some shadow to add to realism :)

do you mean the charactors or the test. the troopers and the alien have shadows if you look. :)

but not immediate shadows - they're cast backwards, sure, but they dont have it where the foot is - no matter where the light's coming from, there's going to be some depth of shading where one object touches another.
