I did it's follow up suggestion of doing a 90*CW flip last, and then did two seperate hues, blended together with a donought-radial blur. (now it's my desktop background)  |

as a personal choice I prefer a more freer approach to art

By mechanical... well created without much human input. This is a bad thing but to me it lacks the personal touch.
The attachment is an example of mechanical design. The only input by me was the manipulation of filters
