I would like to create a gradient circle but not with radial gradient. I would like the gradient to follow the arc of the circle. Is there any way to do this in photoshop?

If I could, I would like to answer my own, somewhat stupid question.

The answer is yes. Since I wanted to make a circle, it is very easy. There is an option to do an "angle" type gradient fill. Select that, then viola.
