I have just discovered that my Nikon Coolpix 4600 will take infrared images, simply use an ir filter in front of the lens and shoot away. A little ajustment in ps for colour/contrast and you sorted! Just thought I'd share this tip. Wayne

That is a very cool effect! Makes it look like a different version of Earth, the shapes look terrestrial, but the coloration gives it a NASA photo feel.
