Dissonance: Wane of Silence

Mankind has transversed the galaxy and beyond.
Upon finding a suitable planet for colonization they have become the catalyst in a great war of synergised religious significance.

The war between man, and what once was.

Players will find themselves in a diverse and atmospherically rich set of environments dictated by the many worlds of Dissonance.
These worlds include fetid, decaying swamps and marshes; desolate and cruel worlds stuck in an ice age; arrid, unforgiving desert worlds; and ravished earth-like landscapes.

Players spawn in by dropping down in pods from an orbiting mothership at their chosen location* (provided it is their main base, or an auxiliary base). A compliment of weapons range from plasma rifles, ray cannons, shoulder mounted flechette launcher (weapons are deffined by class; pistol, smg, rifle, cannon, suppression; and have master catagories of energy, kinetic/explosive, and hybrid).

Here is a list of loose terms, phrases, objects, and generalized expression.

Vehicles (Ground, Air, Hybrids)

Hacking (vGUI style)

Weapons (Energy, Conventional)

Sub-Classes (not chosen by vGUI option, but rather player prefferances on items)

Unique Hud (hud elements are overlayed onto view model, and observed as if looking inside of a helmet)

Biased towards competative play (Team Dissonance will award cash & misc. prizes for competition winners in the future)

Objective based gameplay (not ctf, not dm, not conquest)
