I am not a fan of splash pages. Yours looks very good, it's true, so it's not such a bad idea. You need to put some serious alt tags on the images in the splash page to be able to have some spiderable content for the search engines.
The buttons are well made, even if I don't quite find a place for them in the layout. They are excellent as technique is concerned, but a bit "out of place" in the minimalistic layout. Anyway .. not bad ...
I would use a CSS command to make the links change the colour on mouse hover.
Other than that .. VERY nice site. You showcase some excellent technique. Keep it up
