Hi, I can do the basics in photoshop but sometimes I just can't for the life of me figure out how to do something lol

Does anyone know of the best/simplest way of achieving an effect like the background in the picture below so that lines get thinner towards one point in the image?

It seems so easy like there must be a simple way to do it but I can't work out what.

ps, i'm using photoshop 6 if that makes a difference

I always use the polygonal lasso tool for this.

for your effect in the background in that picture their are brushes for that if you look it up on google your sure to find it i have the same brushes if you cant find it ill post the link as soon as i remember

thats not the exact sight i got mine from but is still the same if the pattern is not exact you could try editing it or use the polygonal lasso tool.
