Lets say I have a picture of a real horse, are there any tutorials on how to make it seem dark or deathly at all? Thanks very much. |

Try going to the levels and adjusting them....that along with a gradient or other filter should get you on the right track. |

You could also try creating a new blank layer, use the paint brush and paint straight black on the horse only. Then right click on that layer, choose: Blending Options, change the blend mode to Overlay. This lets some texture come through from the horse but keeping the dark color. Experiment with different blend modes they are all under the same pull down menu. If it's all too strong then reduce the opacity of that layer as well. Just my thoughts.
