This seems silly but.. here's a image of my setup:

I scoured the earth in search of the elliptical marquee tool, without being able to find it. How do I access it from my setup in that picture above.

Hey PoisonousFish,
Click and hold on the rectangular marquee tool to gain access to the sub menu....you should find it in there.

It should further be mentioned that the little triangle/arrow at the bottom of the marquee tool that can be found elsewhere is their indicator that if you click and hold a little list will pop-up of different options, it's pretty essential to know if you want to use photoshop. :)
