Hi Everybody,

I have a challenge for everybody. I have about 450 35 mm slides that I am scanning into 5 mp jpg images. Because I can not adjust the exposure of the scanner, some of the photos scan dark with noise and some scan over exposed with washed out faces. When looking through the slide itself, I can easily see that the photo is exposed correctly.

So, I need some help as to lighten the darken areas (noise) of the underexposed photos and getting rid of the washed out areas of the overexposed photos.

And to let you all know, I have Photoshop CS. I know it's kind of old, but it is all I got for now. Any help will be much appreciated !!!!

Thanks to everyone for looking and offering your knowledge and techniques.

I will attach a couple of photos to better explain my situation.

I will be posting my other photo in another post. The size is to big for this one.

Thanks !!!

Sincerely- Doug Ward

There's no real "challenge" because there's nothing here. White is white.
Photoshop doesn't know what used to be there.
