Ok, so I'm using Photoshop 6 and I need some help.

The work I'm doing requires me to create two layers, and in one of them use the line tool. Afterwards, I need to return to the original layer and change the upper output level to 0, making it all black. That works just fine. However, when I try to use the polygon lasso tool on the one layer, and then change the upper output level on the original layer, it doesn't work at all. Any suggestions?

Thanks.
