I have created a paper clip which I have put over three photos. I made a layer mask for the paper clip then using the mask, I removed part of the clip giving the illusion that the paper clip is split amongst the images. Part of the clip on top of the images and the other part below the images. My problem is that I can still see a faint outline of the paperclip through the images. I have checked the layer mask options and made sure the opacity is set to 100 percent. I have tried using the eraser to get rid of it and nothing seems to be working. Any ideas

Hi cyber,

Are you sure the layer covering the paperclip is set to 100% opacity and fill? Do you have layers in between the covering layer and the paperclip that may interfere, especially layers with its individual blend modes?
