Hello,
i have tried magic wand and it seems to outline the letters but how do you remove them?

Also if this is a pixel by pixel kinda thing is there a more precise type device than using a mouse?

Thanks for any help for this newbie!!!

okay .... I've looked at the picture and I'm a bit confused .... the wife says it's my advanced years

do you just want to eliminate the text?

do you want the text gone and replaced with the same background so that all you have is the background?

are you just trying to learn the technique?

Hi Kentucky,
Okay ... the 2 best tools for this task are the Clone Stamp and Healing Tools

This is not necessarily a pixel at a time, but it is not a slam bam type of deal.

You first use the Clone Stamp and once you've done all the text etc... you use the Healing Tool to clean it up and make it right.

You might even have to use the Smudge Tool and Blur just to smooth it all out as well.

If you need more help on this or any specific part ... just post back and I'll talk you through it.

(I used to live in Kentucky a while back).

This particular image will take some work. You will have to magnify to the max and then use the clone stamp and then zoom out to see and then back in to work and then back out and then back in :o)

It will also take a lot of 'fudging' and interpolating

Some pictures will be easier than others and some will be harder ... this one will be one of the harder.

Any version of photoshop should be just fine.

Thanks, tried it and its says i have to alt click a spot, ive done that before but the little thing that follows your pointer around gets into other colors and screws it up? Is there a way to get rid of the little thing that follows the pointer? I would think the clicking in the color spot would be all it needed???
