You two are the ones who seem to answer my questions all the time, so I figured I would ask for you by name. After I am done designing my logo, do I want to group my layers and merge them before I save it to either a tiff or eps file? If I merge the layers can they be unmerged, or is that a permanent application? What's the reason behind grouping and/or merging the layers? Thanks for any answers you can provide. By the way Moondog, I just finished painting a mural above two windows in a friends house. It's some vining with the scripture 'I am the vine... you are the branches' kind of intertwined in the vining. It turned out beautifully. I may be a greenhorn to photoshop, but I have the painting down pat. Just thought I would share it with you since you recently found Jesus. Thanks again you two for all the help so far.

Did I really? Well, I'm glad that I could help you. I'm not too good at this sort of thing. :) Sorry to say I can't really help much here. I would encourage any member of our community to chime in if they have any suggestions. :)

I appreciate it.

Thanks,

Patrick

hi sarakail,
first of all, it's always best to flatten your image before you save to make the size of the image smaller.
second of all, if you flatten the layers and save the file, you can not unflatten. What I usually do is save one with the layers as something like ......... xxx in layers.psd (or whatever format) and then flatten it and save as ..... xxx.tif or xxx. (does that makes sense?)
third of all sara, take some pictures and show your work here .... it would be greatly appreciated! :o)

Mark
